To ensure it works well, it's important that we have some basic agreements in place. I expect that the students I advise: * Are familiar with and continually refer to the relevant program handbook and related policies * Take responsibility for setting up meetings on my calendar at least once a month * Come to meetings with a clear set of goals for our time * Take all deadlines and explicit expectations seriously In turn, I commit to: * Working with you to craft a plan that meets your goals * Being flexible to any emergent needs within the bounds of policy and pedagogy * Assisting in identifying opportunities for funding and professional development * Supporting you in a diverse range of career outcomes Together, I hope that we can commit to being forthright with each other about disagreements and conflicts, wherever possible, before escalating them elsewhere. graduate_advising.txt Last modified: 2026/04/30 04:05by ntnsndr
