Screen Devices
Screen devices include laptops, tablets, phones, smartwatches, and other machines with screens. As a general policy in my courses, screen devices are not permitted during class time, unless otherwise stated. Exceptions may also be made for reasons of accessibility and disability.
The cause for this policy is the ample evidence that such devices hinder rather than aid in student learning.
